MOBOTIX cameras are advanced IP devices with a decentralized architecture – each contains its own processor, memory, and software, allowing for local processing and recording. This means the system doesn't require expensive video recording servers; simply expanding the cameras' memory is sufficient. This "camera as a computer" concept translates to lower overall costs and greater resilience to failures. Our implementations leverage this architecture to protect critical facilities – for example, cameras can directly record footage even if the connection is lost, or capture sudden events on their built-in storage. At the same time, very high imaging quality (premium optics and advanced vision algorithms) ensures clear recordings even in challenging lighting conditions.

The Camera as a Smart Device

In MOBOTIX systems, each camera functions as an independent node – it has its own processor, memory, and data storage. This means cameras can record video directly within themselves and perform local image analysis. As a result, the system is easy to scale – to increase coverage, simply add new cameras without needing to invest in new servers. Furthermore, in the event of a connection failure, recordings are buffered locally, and the live stream can be re-sent once the network is restored. This architecture reduces implementation and operating costs while simultaneously increasing the system's resilience to failures and attacks.

Smart In-Camera Processing

MOBOTIX cameras stand out for their excellent image quality (advanced optics, high-grade CMOS sensors) and built-in analysis functions. These devices can independently process images in real-time (e.g., motion detection, people counting, or license plate recognition) without burdening the network. In the comprehensive management system (MxMC), we combine results from all cameras, providing a complete overview of the situation. Additionally, we can integrate MOBOTIX cameras with our proprietary AI algorithms, for instance, for detecting unusual events. Such solutions enable early threat detection and automatic notifications to security personnel.

We offer a complete MOBOTIX monitoring system – from camera installation to management software (MxManagementCenter) and free software updates. Thanks to an open API and ONVIF standards, we integrate cameras with other analytical tools, enabling, among other things, the detection of people or vehicles directly within the camera. As integrators, we ensure system installation in extreme conditions (e.g., in cold storage facilities or in the field) – MOBOTIX cameras are resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +65°C. Furthermore, we support clients in utilizing smart features (e.g., built-in motion detection, behavior analysis), which allows for the creation of advanced security systems without additional licenses. This provides the client with a stable, future-proof monitoring system that can be easily expanded with additional cameras and AI functionalities.
